On the 22nd February 2012, ATIC launched Australia Week in China. The press conference was held in Guangzhou, in the presence of:
- HE Ms Frances Adamson, Australian Ambassador in China,
- Grant Dooley, Australian Consul General in Guangzhou,
- Jeff Turner, Senior Trade Commissioner of Department of Trade & Deputy Consul General in Guangzhou,
- Cher Jones, Director of Guangzhou Office, NSW Government,
Australian Ambassador HE Ms Frances Adamson made an opening statement, participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony and marked the 40th anniversary of Sino-Australian bilateral relationship.
The Australia Week was launched with a month of activities in 15 Chinese university campuses, introducing Australian products and services to 500,000 university students.
During the launch, Pioneer Computers has signed strategic cooperation agreement with Kaki Infotech, signaling Pioneer Computers’entry into the Chinese retail market, with Kaki as distributor.
Kaki has a significant presence in major universities, having opened 30 sales outlets in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Chengdu, Nanjing. Up to 80 sales outlets will be opened by the end of the year across the country.
Pioneer Computers strategic partnership with Kaki set another milestone in its development of the Chinese market.
